My travel story

I check every detail with you: does this hotel really work for you? Does this transfer really work? That way, when you get there, nothing surprises you.

I'm Aleks, a Layla Travel Expert based in Sofia, Bulgaria. Since joining Layla in 2022, I've helped travellers turn their ideas into thoughtfully planned trips. I take the time to understand what matters to you, offer honest advice and think through the details that make a journey truly work for you.

My love for travel started early. At 12, I joined my mum on a business trip to Dubai, and at 13, I moved from my small hometown in Bulgaria to a boarding school in England. Since then, I've crossed the US by bus, returned to Thailand time and again, explored northern Greece and travelled across China. Today, I bring that curiosity and first-hand experience to every trip I plan. Additionally, I can speak Bulgarian, English, Spanish and Russian.

When I'm not planning adventures for Layla travellers, I'm organising Marvel- and Star Wars-inspired trips for my two boys, and, mostly, my husband!

Family adventures. A great family trip is about more than choosing a destination. I think about the practical details, too, from finding the right room configuration for teenagers to checking that activities and transfers work for younger children. My goal is to make the trip enjoyable for everyone.

Multi-stop journeys. When you're visiting several places, I'll help make everything fit together. From travel times and connections to experiences you don't want to miss, I'll shape an itinerary that flows naturally without feeling rushed.

Once-in-a-lifetime trips. For honeymoons, milestone celebrations and dream adventures, I'll help you bring the special details together. I'll listen to what's important to you, find the right experiences and offer honest advice on where to spend and where you can save.
