My travel story

I love finding the moments that turn a trip into a memory.

I'm Robin, a Brazilian Travel Advisor based in Berlin, Germany. I've travelled to over 30 countries and lived in more than 10 during four years as a digital nomad. After more than a decade of planning my own adventures, I now bring that experience to helping travellers plan their trips with Layla. I love discovering the real character of a place through its people, food, traditions and everyday life, and helping you experience more than just the typical tourist attractions.

Travel became a way of life when I spent four years living and working in different countries as a digital nomad. Moving from place to place gave me the chance to experience destinations beyond a typical holiday. I discovered local neighbourhoods, tried regional food, explored traditions and got a feel for everyday life in different cultures.

Some of my favourite travel memories haven't come from famous landmarks. They've come from wandering through local markets, finding a small restaurant full of locals, stumbling upon a neighbourhood festival or discovering something I didn't even know to look for.

That's the kind of travel I love: experiences that help you connect with a place and see it from a different perspective.

What travellers say

[Aleks] gave us great advice about experiences, restaurants and stuff like buses from the sites into towns. A very good experience all round with the AI and especially the nice human!!
GGraham, UKPlanned with Aleks · Trustpilot
Not only did they find us the exact requirements we asked for they provided us with multiple options to select from. We arranged a quick call to confirm our selection and we honestly had the best day.

What I liked most about Layla.ai is that I was able to build a wonderful trip without having a clear idea about where I wanted to go or what I wanted to do. I posed several concepts based on my interests, and Layla.ai created multiple itineraries for me to choose from. I'm glad to report my trust was rewarded. Beyond describing my interests and having a call, I didn't have to do much and everything about my trip worked perfectly.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank you personally. Thank you for the straightforward, fast, and personal support. It was a lot of fun, and I really like your approach. You can feel the interest, readiness, and commitment at every step of the way from the initial idea to the booking. Top!

Where I can help you travel

I know Brazil, Germany, Portugal, Italy, Mexico and Morocco particularly well, having spent time experiencing their cultures, cities and everyday life.

Whether you'd like to explore Brazil beyond its famous beaches, discover Italy through its food and traditions, wander through Morocco's local markets or experience European cities beyond the main attractions, I'd love to help you find a different side of your destination.

I speak Portuguese natively and English fluently, with intermediate French and Spanish and basic German.

My specialities

Experiencing destinations like a local. I love helping travellers discover what a place feels like beyond the main attractions. That could mean exploring residential neighbourhoods, visiting markets where locals shop, finding community events or uncovering places loved by the people who live there. It's about experiencing a destination, not just sightseeing.

Food, culture and local traditions. Food is one of my favourite ways to understand a culture. I enjoy discovering traditional dishes, family-run restaurants, local markets and food festivals, as well as the history and celebrations that make each destination unique. I'll help you find experiences that bring the local culture to life.

Discovering places beyond the usual tourist trail. Some of the best travel experiences are the ones you never expected. I enjoy researching lesser-known places, finding thoughtful local recommendations and uncovering experiences that don't always appear in typical travel guides. I'll help you discover options that feel authentic, surprising and memorable, while bringing everything together into a trip that suits your interests.

Trips I've curated

Brazil for Multi-Generational Family

A family of eight travelling across three generations. They wanted meaningful time together, but the grandparents, parents and children naturally had different energy levels and interests.

Rio de Janeiro's iconic sights, then a slower stay in Paraty, with private transfers to make the journey easier.

Shared experiences, like a private boat day, balanced with flexible afternoons when everyone could follow their own rhythm.

The goal was simple: bring the whole family together without forcing everyone to travel in exactly the same way.

A Friends' Escape to Madeira

A group of friends who wanted to reconnect somewhere that combined adventure, beautiful scenery and time to relax.

Funchal and Porto Moniz, with a levada walk through the mountains, a road trip along the dramatic north coast and natural-pool swimming in Porto Moniz.

Space for long dinners in Funchal, a local wine tasting and an unhurried day by the ocean.

The itinerary balanced shared experiences with enough freedom for everyone to enjoy the island at their own pace.

Morocco: From the Atlas Mountains to the Sahara

A couple who wanted to experience Morocco beyond its most famous sights, explore the country's contrasts, connect with the local culture and discover its food along the way.

From the energy of Marrakech across the Atlas Mountains and into the Sahara, then north to Tangier and the blue streets of Chefchaouen.

The long overland adventure balanced with slower stays, local guides and time to explore markets, neighbourhoods and regional cuisine.

This wasn't a trip about ticking off landmarks. It was about experiencing how Morocco's landscapes, flavours and traditions change from one region to the next.
